Unleavened Bread Recipe

A good recipe for communion or a feast It is a bread that does not have yeast and other components that causes the bread to rise, it also types out when the Children of Israel did not have time to bake leaven bread before leaving Egypt.


3 cups quick oats
1 cup old fashioned oats
1 tsp Lowry’s seasoned salt
1 tsp herbamare
1-3 tb yeast flakes

Preheat oven to 325F degrees.

After Mixing dry ingredients together:
Add 4 cups water
Mix well with wisk, then let sit covered for about 10 minutes
Then add 1/2 cup olive oil
Mix well with spoon or wisk

Oil 2 large pans (we prefer 14″ iron pizza pans)
Batter will be thin enough to pour
Pour same amount in each pan
The 14″ pans will accomodate all of the above mixture

Arrange oven racks so that one pan can sit directly above the other
Place pans in oven and bake for 20 minutes
Then remove and score (cut into whatever shapes you want them)
Return pans to oven and bake for 30 minutes
Remove and turn each pan around
Return pans to opposite racks
Do this 2 more times at 30 minute intervals (they will be done when they release from pan)

You will have to discover the cooking times and methods that work best for you as ovens vary. You can personalize this method, just be careful not to let them burn.

The crackers made with the recipe above will be somewhat delicate.

For a sturdier cracker, add 2 tb whole corn meal and 2 tb whole wheat flour.
