High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) also known as glucose-fructose syrup, glucose syrup,fructose syrup, glucose/fructose, high-fructose maize syrup or corn sugar is a corn-based sweetener that is used in thousands of food products such as soft drinks, fruit juices, ice cream, candy, cookies, ketchup, soups, salad dressings, breads, crackers, and many other baked and packaged products.
One reason it is used is that It extends the shelf life of processed food and it is much cheaper than sugar and for this reason it is added to most quick serve foods today. Scientists are still continuing to research the effects on the health of high fructose corn syrup. Many dangers are being found in these studies.
High Fructose Corn Syrup can cause obesity, high cholesterol and diabetes, liver damage, hypertension, high blood pressure, heart disease, cancer, migraines, ADHD, etc.
Based on scientific study and observations independent researchers have been astonished by the increased occurences of obesity and its association with the increased consumption of high fructose corn syrup. The beverages and foods having HFCS are high in calories but low in nutritional values.
A Healthy Fruit Juice?
Fruit juice may be delicious, but it’s often loaded with high fructose corn syrup! High fructose corn syrup has been linked to increased cholesterol levels, blood clots, and impaired immunity. Pop or Soda is no better.
Fructose reduces the affinity of insulin for its receptor, which is the hallmark of type-2 diabetes. This is the first step for glucose to enter a cell and be metabolized. As a result, the body needs to pump out more insulin to handle the same amount of glucose.
The annual ‘Liver Meeting’ of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases which took place October in Boston reported results linking high intake of sugar (specifically fructose) to liver disease.
“The research team concluded that consumption of high fructose can have negative effects on liver through overfeeding, as well as damage the liver by inducing increased oxidative stress.”

The body processes HFCS more slowly than sugar. A study of increased High Fructose Corn syrup consumption with a low fiber diet showed that their was an increase in type 2 diabetes by a factor of 20 times.
The Fructose in the Corn syrup interacts with the carbonation to form a substance calledcarbonyls which are toxic and are linked to cell damage and diabetes in children. The lifetime risk of diabetes in children is now 30% in boys and 40% in girls.
The problem is in what is happening to the children. Kids consume more corn sweetened soft drinks than ever before and that makes them more susceptible to diabetes and obesity.
The way the world has come to treat these issues is to treat the symptoms, rather than to treat the source. The source is what we as a people are putting into our body. If we are going to continue to put chemicals such as MSG, HFCS, aspartame, mercury from vaccinations as well as many other excitotoxins which damage the brain and nerves, slowing down the mind and body or speeding it up too fast rather than putting into our body foods that are high in nutrition such as living fruits and vegetables untouched by humans and given to us just the way God created it, we are going to continue to suffer as a people.

One way to solve this problem is to get back to God’s way of eating. If you want a snack, rather than going and eating that granola bar loaded with HFCS, have a banana or an apple. Rather than drinking a Coke, have a Carrot juice.
Putting more drugs in your body is not going to cure you from disease. But rather stopping eating sugar filled products and losing weight will help your body to heal itself.
